ServiceTitan Inventory Implementation – HVAC
Project Timeline: May 2024 – Present
Powerhouse implemented a centralized inventory system for a North Carolina-based $5M heating and cooling contractor with approximately 15 trucks, by eliminating duplicate items, improving replenishment processes, and standardizing operations with SOPs.
Client Challenges
This contractor faced ServiceTitan Inventory mismanagement, including duplicate items in their Pricebook, missing vendor details, and inaccurate inventory locations. This created inefficiencies, making it difficult to track stock and manage replenishment.
PCG Solutions
Powerhouse cleaned up the client’s Pricebook by removing duplicates, establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels, and setting up replenishment processes for both warehouse and trucks. Additionally, PCG provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure streamlined, step-by-step guidance for inventory management.
Our Approach
Inventory Accuracy
Through the elimination of duplicate items and the identification of key items to track, PCG helped this client achieve a more accurate and reliable inventory system. By ensuring techs were assigned to the correct locations and implementing replenishment templates, the process became more structured and automated.
Standardized Processes
Creating minimums and maximums for both the warehouse and trucks was a key step in bringing consistency to the client’s inventory management. The introduction of SOPs allowed the client to follow a clear, standardized process for adjustments, transfers, and purchasing, which minimized errors.
Ongoing Support
After go-live, PCG continued to provide support as the client worked through their busy season. Our team has maintained a closer partnership, ensuring smooth post-implementation monitoring and assistance when needed to resolve any issues that arise.
Conclusion
By partnering with Powerhouse, this HVAC contractor was able to achieve remarkable improvements in inventory management. Previously dealing with hundreds of negative items and frequent manual adjustments, the client now has nearly zero negative inventory and minimal adjustments required. This shift has allowed the client to focus more on operational efficiency and less on Inventory headaches, positioning them for continued growth and success.
